ZERO XP

The Zero XP looked like something straight out of a sci-fi film, and there was no better place to experience it than at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. From the moment you see it, the sharp lines, minimalist bodywork and striking LED lighting make it clear this isn't your average motorcycle.

The bike seemed to draw a crowd before it had even moved, with contant flows of crowds taking snaps at the demo stand.

Then you twist the throttle, and it all makes sense. The acceleration is instant. There's no waiting for revs to build or gears to work through—just an immediate surge of power that catches you off guard in the best possible way. It's unbelievably rapid, yet incredibly smooth, making it feel almost effortless to ride up the famous Goodwood hill.

The lack of engine noise is another thing that stands out. Instead of the usual soundtrack, all you really hear is the wind and the tyres, which somehow makes the speed feel even more dramatic. It's a completely different riding experience, but one that suits the bike's futuristic personality perfectly.

Despite its radical looks, it's surprisingly comfortable too. Even the slim seat, which looks like it would be pretty unforgiving, was much more comfortable than I expected, and the riding position felt natural from the moment I set off.

The Zero XP was created as a concept to explore what the future of electric motorcycling could look like. Rather than simply swapping a petrol engine for batteries, it pushes motorcycle design in a completely different direction with clean styling, integrated technology and a focus on innovation.

Riding the Zero XP at Goodwood felt like getting a glimpse of what motorcycling could look like in years to come. It combines eye-catching design with blistering performance in a way that feels genuinely exciting. Whether electric bikes are your thing or not, it's hard not to come away impressed by just how innovative—and how incredibly quick—it is.
