DAY ONE

COUNTRIES COVERED - FRANCE & BELGIUM

HOURS AND MILES - 4.5 HOURS / 135 MILES

We took the Dover to Calais, Eurtotunnel, route purely based on the amount of issues the ferries were having when we were due to travel.  It was so quick, checked in about an hour before grabbed a Starbucks and away we went, took around 35 minutes and we were already there.  Don't forget your UK sticker on the plate, luckily some bikers in the same train coach as us had a spare!

We used the Kurviger app for the trip, theres a free version and also a paid one, which gives you more options but the free one lets you plot out all your journey and breaks down miles and duration, lets you pick the twisities and avoid tolls and motorways and shows you a bunch of cool spots and biker venues.

Honestly, the Suzuki V-Strom 1050 tourer MADE this trip, the best biek we could have possibly picked to use.  The boxes are huge, they literally fit all our personal clothes as well as the back box carried all our equipment for filming.  Being a pilly was a dream, so comfy and like sitting on a little throne as I fit in between the boxes and could sit right back! The bike takes twisties so smooth... go head over to read the full review HERE.

I wouldn't say the ride to Mons was anything to shout about, few twisties and pretty but really flat, we were just excited to hit Switzerland!

The hotel we stayed at was called the Utopia Hotel in Mons, they did a selection of standard rooms but also a bunch of cool tree houses, we stayed in the Black Box treehouse.  Seemed to be a biker stay hot spot as there were a lot of other bikers in the bar and restaurant.  They also had a gym and pool to chill in and it was only 10 minutes from the town which was full of bars and restaurants!

DAY TWO

COUNTRIES COVERED - FRANCE & BELGIUM

HOURS AND MILES - 4 HOURS / 120 MILES

About a 2 hour ride away from Mons is Namur, a cute little city called Namur in Belgium, I saw the twistie roads leading down from the castle when I was doing some research and just HAD to visit here! The castle is stunning and leads down a really twisty road all the way down to the city, of course we stuck the drone up and took the bike into the castle grounds!  We met up with one of our followers here, grabbed some food in a strange bar that only served spaghetti bolognese (our fave so we didn't care)  and had a coffee and catch up before we headed to Dinant 'The Sacred Valley'.

The roads definitely got a lot better here, we went through some really amazing twisties and hills to get to Dinant, our next destination and where we would be stopping for the night.

Dinant was stunning, you enter through the inside of a broken mountain and the view points were insane! Huge cathedral, LOADS of bikers and restaurants and theres a cable car that takes you up the side of the cliffs and up to a historical spot you can visit with caves, tunnels and history.  the views of the cathedral here were out of this world! Definitely make sure you visit the fortress at the top and get the cable cars down!

We stayed at Auberge Grill Le Freyr, about 5 minutes ride from the center, seemed to be a biker hot spot and was listed as a Biker stay over. They had large rooms, restaurant and secure parking as well as some really great viewing spots over the road.  There were a lot of walking trails, hikers and abseiling groups in the area too - we went and grabbed some drone content but explored the city and ate out just as it was so pretty!

DAY THREE

COUNTRIES COVERED - LUXEMBOURG & BELGIUM

HOURS AND MILES - 2 HOURS / 60 MILES

Today was a lot more of a chilled day, needed it after the last two days and wanted to explore a bit more and take our time on the roads as they looked fun!

I had seen this cute little city called, Durbuy, which was on route to the next destination so we headed over that way.  There are SO many castles in the area, we stopped by at one of them on route and got some incredible drone footage at the same time.
